Yes, I can say the hospital Broughton State Hospital in NC.

Although, the entire Kirkbride is in full functioning use and I don't have any abandonment pictures of the campus. Just with HIPPA laws I try to tread lightly.

Half of me feels like they wouldn't care, but part of me is nervous that they will care.

Procelain,

From a HIPAA stand point you should be fine. The only issue that would exist is if personal names or images of people at the facility were in the pictures you posted, without expressed release from the facility and patient. HIPAA is meant to protect patient identifiable information, not the facility itself per se. If the folks at Broughton were that worried about the pictures they would have made you delete the ones they didn't like before you left. The building, walls, and grounds, minus staff and patients should be more than fine to post though.

The facility I work at is an outpatient clinic that was a former catholic school. There are pictures of our inside and outside all over the place and I have never heard of any issues about pictures needing special exemption, beyond the ones i listed, as we are a public facility.
