Yes I too know people that have had this done, also for severe depression. Oddly enough about 10 years ago when I was in the country of Turkey, I was at a Turkish Bath (spa) and they offerend electro shock therapy as one of the menu item for the spa! I would also like to urge people to view the comments left on this article. A lot of from people that have had ECT and are very interesting.
