Cool! I saw headphone jacks outside every room when I visited Waverly Hills years back. Apparently they had a hospital radio station somewhere in the building. Pretty neat to see patients using them here just like they would have at WHS.

Here is a picture from a book I bought on Ebay that an architect created. It contained a bunch of pictures of the Kalamazoo State Hospital laundry that he designed.

Going with a winter theme.. here is a 1950s photo of patients clearing snow at HSH. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm rather dissapointed that we have gotten almost no snow this winter in PA. What did I go get these expensive off road tire on my truck for??

I believe that it went on air sometime in 1931. Apperently, the signal was so good that it even reached homes located in Valley Station.
