After much thought I've decided to start scanning and selling any Kirkbride postcards of locations I've never been to.
I must admit i collected one to many and i'm looking to buy a new HD video camera so i'm going to be selling close to 100 or more of them on Ebay starting today. About every week or so i'll put up 2-4 listings. I've got a lot of rare and hard to find postcards along with more common cards.
I figured i'd let everyone here know since i'd rather see my fellow AsylumProject members and asylum postcard collecters get a crack at winning them first. I'll waive the shipping cost for any member here or at KirkbrideBuildings.com that win them. Just notify me via a message who you are and what your AP user name is.

I'll keep an eye on your listings, but I honestly probably won't be able to buy many, if any at all. I'm sinking every dime I have into getting my new home finished so I can move in before snow is on the ground.
If you don't mind, can you take a look at the photo galleries for the hospitals that you are selling and if you have a photo that isn't already there it would be great if you could post a scan pic of it. It would be a shame to have a never before seen image of a hospital get sold to someone that may never put a copy of it online.

| That's the plan. As I sell them I'm going to scan them and upload them . I would say I have a few that I've never seen online.

After counting them i have 105 Kirkbride postcards which i'll try to sell 2-4 a week. I have about another 60 but I've been to those locations and will not be selling them but instead will be scanning and uploading them here.
I've also decided to sell most for only $7.00, just to sell them more quickly.
I've put the following cards up tonight and i'll put even more up by Sunday. It will be a slow process that could take weeks but i expect to sell all or most.

Ok i added one more up today which is the Kirkbride building ruins at Agnews State Hospital. As you know the earthquake of 1906 ripped the structure apart and left 100 or more patients dead. I'd say this card is rare.
Next time i give an update i'll include a bunch at once but i just wanna update everyone on this particular card. I've never seen a postcard of the building pre collapse.... has anyone else?

I am writing a book about a man who was in the hospital from 1912-1916.
Willing to buy photo's and other relevant information about the treatment and life in the Asylum.

| Nice! I like that Rochester State Hospital card. I have always really liked that lighthouse looking admin. Wish the kirk still existed today, would love to have seen it in person. Though with the way hospitals removed decorative stuff from the buildings, that light house feature would probably have been removed even if the building still existed today.

Not to long ago i finally came across a Dixmont State Hospital postcard after not seeing any, not even one for the whole two years i've been collecting.
I've decieded to sell it as i've i never made it out there to see it before it was torn down.
