After seeing the patient art gallery at Weston I've been thinking a lot about this guy. I can't figure out for the life of my why I haven't posted this here before.

I've been following this story for a while now.

30 years ago a boy in Missouri found a leather bound album of colored pencil drawings from before 1920 all on stationairy from Nevada State Hospital #3 in a dumpster and decided it was worth keeping. They were all signed "The Ectlectric Pencil". They were done by a former patient of the hospital and are considered to be remarkable. Two of the drawings were recently sold for $12,000 each!

As a follow up, after some research the identity of The Ectlectric Pencil has finally been discovered. A young man involuntarily committed after pulling gun on his father and was a patient at Nevada State Hospital for over half a century. Originally they thought the misspelling of "electric" as "ectlectric" was from dyslexia or lack of education but it is not though is has something to do with the acronym for the electro-convulsive therapy he endured.
