I am thinking about writing two separate policies on possible dubious information addition and also a user page policy to mirror the AP:SPAM policy.
Basically, as far as the dubious information: We all have met people who truly believed something even through it is false. For example someone sent me an email a while back honestly stating that they believed that one northern Kirkbride had chained patients up in the basement and whipped them. Another are people who are ghost hunters who want to post information about ghost stories from the institutions and other such information. (I personally enjoy ghost stories and the such, but they have no place on this site other then some Halloween topic in the gossip area of this message board.) I've seen a variety of reasons as to why people want to add the information, but the sites policy is that if it is something hard to believe, something hard to prove, or simply false, then it should not be added.
As far as the user page policy: I want it to both encourage users to develop their user pages to reflect themselves, but also to be mindful of not using their user pages to advertise services or web sites and that there should be no offensive material or illegal information on their user pages.

Also, on a side note: to those who are not admins (I.E. regular editors) you guys are more then welcome and even encouraged to comment, voice your opinions, make suggestions, etc. So don't think that these types of comments are for only admins. Tell us what you think or want to do.
I wish I had ESP so that I could read your minds, but instead I just have ESPN! So if you guys have ideas or just want to say something, please by all means!

| I think it's a good idea. It is best to cover all possibilities ahead of time.
