| I am looking for anyone who may have known my Uncle Adam Toth jr., known as "Red" and a woman who was an inmate with him Clara Patton. This would have been in or around March of 1961. My uncle had been a prisoner of war in WWII, shot down in Germany in 1944. He also served in Japan. He was manic-depressive and did many gradious things. He was a caddy and semi-pro at the Broadmoore Golf Course. He was married to my aunt Lucy and had two sons Bill and Dick, who went on to become a judge. Both of them had distinctive red hair. If anyone knows of him or them together, I would very much apprecaite it if you would contact me at [email protected] Thank you

Looking for John Kreydick Manteto, IL
|
| I am looking for anyone who may have known my cousin John Andrew Kreydick. He was in Manteto near Chicago on or about 1987. He would have been around 40 years old, thin with dark hair. He had worked as a chef. He was removed from the facility by his brother Lewis and died suddenly on his 42nd birthday July 4, 1988 in Montana.

| Unfortunately unless you know of a specific institution or some other reference to where someone might have met your uncle it would be a shot in the dark that anyone would know him for sure. As to your cousin, Manteno has closed and most of the buildings were torn down, there are few that still exist and i have been in some of them, but their are no records held there. If you are looking for former staff I believe that some maintain a website, but most were shuffled to other facilities or let go, causing many to scatter. I am not sure that anyone on here is specifically affiliated with the former facility.

Unfortunately I cant help you if you're looking for general information on them. As far as records, your uncle could have information with the VA and they might be able to help. What years was your cousin at Manteno? It closed as a state run mental health facility in 1985, after that no idea what happened with the records from alter years. It's suspected much of what they had was thrown out and the rest is spread between Kankakee State & Springfield. I'll email you some contact info.
- Edit-I found some information on a Philip Adam Toth & an Adam Toth, both of Chicago & served in WW2. I'll email that as well.
