| Anyone else having trouble getting pages to load? Usually about 1/3 of the time I get a message "Asylum Projects has a problem Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties. Try waiting a few minutes and reloading." I get it with Firefox & Google Chrome also on my iphone.

Howdy, just checking in.
To answer your question it's a two part problem. One it's a problem of our own making. We've gotten popular enough that we are attracting a lot of people and bots. I've seen on average over two hundred people looking at the site at one time and most likely there were more that I didn't see. Because of that, our servers are taking quite a hit.
The second problem is as a result of so many people coming to AP we've hit the dreaded throttle limit and also it's taking some of the server database time to respond. Basically those messages are saying that the database wasn't responding as fast as the wiki program would like.
Now the only way to fix it is to move to a better server. However, for us that essentially would have to either be a stand alone server with enough bandwidth to handle lots of traffic. That also equates to lots of cost. Another way would be a virtual server, but those aren't cheap. Finally, if we found a server that can handle the type of traffic we see and would be willing to allow a data hog like us move on thier server, that could be an option. But I don't see many people being that generous especially like as I said, AP is a data/bandwidth hog.
Like I mentioned, none of these options are cheap and would need someone experienced with servers and sites like ours to accomplish. Maybe down the road we might be able to finagle something from someone, but not at his very moment.

| It has been better lately, the numbers are lower then the other night though. I had a feeling it wasn't a cheap fix.
