OK this is a semi personal request for me. A co worker of mine was adopted and her adoptive parents never got her birth certificate re-certified. She recently had to apply for her social security stuff due to age only to find out that the birth certificate she always used was not considered "valid". After over a year of trying to track down the real one she finally got it. Her birth mother was a Lucille Mae Kelly from Minneapolis MN. It appears she was born around 1920 something but I am having trouble finding any census records for her. Beyond this all I know is that she was in the Rockford, IL area working for an ordnance manufacturer during WWII. Any help any can give would be appreciated.
Sincerely,

| So far I've found a Lucille M. Kelly born; April, 21, 1922 in Waukegan, IL. Her parents were from Minnesota and she died in 1998. Other one's seem to be from Chicago or downstate with no middle initial & the 1940 census for Illinois is not searchable yet.

| Thanks I'll talk to my co worker about it. I'm guessing it's the one from Waukegan as that was what I was coming up with too. My coworker was under the impression she was in MN until sometime in the 1940's but I thought it weird she would end up in Rockford if she was in Minneapolis with her family prior to WWII. Waukegan makes more sense as Waukegan wasn't that built up at the time and Camp Grant was in Rockford along with a lot of other war related industry. Thanks for the help I will pass it along to my coworker and see what she can make of it.

| No that's ok, thanks for the help. I finally got to see her copy of the official birth certificate and it is so incomplete I am pretty stumped at this point. I told her we'll probably have to wait til they post the 1940 census to figure it out for sure. The birth certificate doesn't even have her full name her mom gave her on it. All it lists is her moms name and her moms birth place as Minneapolis MN. There is nothing on the father listed and they didn't even put the full hospital name on the form. (It just says Rockford Hospital, no address). My coworker was born in 1942 and all 3 hospitals that exist in Rockford were open at that point, so it's hard to know where to even go from here yet. We assume it was Rockford Memorial Hospital, but they have also moved since that time so their records people haven't really been able to help. I'm going to try looking for war records for the facility that she probably worked at in Rockford. She was probably at Essex Wire, but again this is all kind of a guessing game at the moment until I can uncover a little more. More searches found that the Lucille M. Kelly that died in 1998 looks like she may have been another Lucille Kelly that was from Mississippi, so there is still a chance her mom is alive even. I'll post back if I find more.

Santana family tree
|
| I'm looking for a patient in 1940 -Aurora Santana, Census 1940 show that she was a patient in this hospital (Metropolitan Hospital Welfare Island). I'm working in my family tree. Her son, my fathers' cousin died more than 20 years ago. Ms. Santana was natural from Puerto Rico. If there is a birth certificate, photo, etc. that I obtain it will be appreciated. Who was the person of contact in her behalf?. I would like to know when she die.
