	The decision to close Greystone in 2000 came about not only because of concerns for the aging buildings, but also due to the recent negative press it was receiving. 	Antiquity Echoes travels to Weston, WV to visit the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. The people behind this successful historic site were one of many parties interested in rehabilitating the old Greystone asylum in Parsippany, NJ. They, along with all other proposals for reuse were rejected by the state. Time and time again the state of New Jersey has stated that a main factor in the rejection of these plans was that every proposal required state funding of some kind.
