East Louisiana State Hospital Jackson, LA.

Considered to be one of the largest and most significant Greek Revival buildings in Louisiana, it has been placed on the National Register. The institution was one of the first mental hospitals in the South.

The following is a link for a list of the earliest patients that were moved from New Orleans to East Louisiana State Hospital for the Insane, Jackson, East. Feliciana Parish, Louisiana 1848.
