William Croade Lovering Colony of Taunton State Hospital

aka Lovering Colony State Hospital

aka Lovering Colony of Taunton State Hospital

aka William C Lovering Colony of Taunton State Hospital

Still more to be found, but the Lovering Colony was a satellite of Taunton State Hospital intended strictly for women. Located at 45 Davis Street, Taunton, MA, the buildings were completed in 1914 only 2 miles from the main campus.

Taunton State Hospital did have at least three "colonies" according to local historian, including Lovering, "Simeon Borden Colony", and a Raynham Farm Colony.
