History[edit]
Oakwood is an Intermediate Care Facility supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The facility opened in 1972 and is located in scenic Somerset, Kentucky. Today it is operated by a private contractor for the state, Bluegrass Regional Mental Health - Mental Retardation Board, Inc.
