History[edit]

The Vineland Developmental Center is a residential facility founded in 1888 for developmentally disabled females. Today the Center's population is approximately 500 women ranging from older adolescent through geriatric age residing in two campuses: East Campus on Landis Avenue and West Campus on Almond Road. A separate facility from the Vineland Training School which was and still is privately run.
