Caption: Patients under the influence of drug Reserpine, become lethargic at first, they want to sleep on the floor or a hard bench because they experience a sinking feeling. These patients, at Rockland State Hospital, are in the disturbed ward of the admitting service. Without the drug, they might be in restraints. They have beds they could use but, they prefer to be as they are. Later this effect of the drug disappears, their minds begin to clear and their disturbed behavior ceases.
