History

The St. Lawrence Regional Centre in Ontario was a former provincial residential facility for people with developmental disabilities, located in Brockville. It operated between 1975 and 1983 and was the subject of a class-action lawsuit settled by the Ontario government for former residents who suffered harm during their stay.

Today it is the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre, an active, specialized correctional treatment center for adult males serving provincial sentences who suffer from significant mental illness.
