Youngstown Developmental center was opened in 1980 to serve the Eastern Ohio area around Youngstown. Youngstown Developmental center followed a modern cottage plan design and was comprised of 10 buildings on a 35 acre plot. The center was closed in 2017 however the campus is now being reused as the Mahoning County Campus of Care wich was opened in 2022 and focuses on providing support to children with learning disabilities and other mental health needs. | Youngstown Developmental center was opened in 1980 to serve the Eastern Ohio area around Youngstown.
