History
Trellie A. James was Principle of the school starting in 1947.
The school was part of a study conducted in 1961 by the Dept. of Health that tested the blood types of 237 Navajo children at the school (95% of the schools population).
As of today, the school and grounds are owned and operated by the Navajo Tribe as a public school on the Pinon Navajo Reservation. The school offers culture and native language classes.
