History
Ramapo Ridge is a 58 bed psychiatric facility which offers inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients. Treatments include medication, psychotherapy, education, therapeutic activities, family support and pastoral care. Ramapo Ridge is a nonprofit organization that was created in 1911 by a group of deacons from local churches, who felt that psychiatric patients deserved better care than what previously existed. Today it is one of many facilities on the 78-acre property known as the Christian Health Care Center.
